2018 was one hell of a year for me, and I really do need to thank all of the amazing couples that brought me along for their crazy rides, welcoming me into their homes, letting me see them in their undies, on the dancefloor and while shedding some ugly-crying tears. Not usually all at the same time, but there’s always the opportunity to improve in 2019…
While there’s no way of saying these are the best images I took in 2018, these are just a few that jumped out at me. They don’t even include the last few weddings of 2018, as I haven’t edited them yet! You might notice there’s not many photos of dresses hanging in doorways, or bridesmaids chinking champagne glasses - that’s because the shots I really love show the reality of the day, the important people, the kids, the grannies, the best mates. That’s what I love.
I will take this chance to thank the person I love, too. My amazing wife Bec, who allows me to head off every weekend to hang around with a few hundred awesome people, in some amazing location with great food and drinks. She bears the burden of looking after our two (nearly three!!) little rapscallions with grace, humour and unbounded energy, and I couldn’t do any of this without her.
Enjoy, and here’s to 2019…
